As the title and scans will hopefully show I received this $100, along with others, from my CU the other day and immediately noticed this one was blue across the obverse and mostly normal on the reverse. The first thing to come to mind is that this money had been exposed to a dye pack exploding during a robbery.
I conducted internet research and checked off the boxes that says it is real. bells transition to 100 in strip, raised edges along Franklin's shoulder, and the "bell" appears to change color. So I think it is real as I did not want to run a marker over it. The pics were taken outside against a white background. It looks bluer in person.
I did reach out to Heritage for an opinion and they said post circulation contamination but they have been wrong before. I know from personal experiences as they miss appraised an original Highway man artwork.
Thoughts from those way more knowledgeable is appreciated.
