Blue Mountain

Has anyone heard of a cave located on Blue Mountain in Rocky Face, GA? There was a tower gen. William T. Sherman used during the Civil War erected on it.

I believe that those towers were used as signal towers. HH

I havent hunted in 15 years but have just bought a new tesoro and I'm scouting places on google earth and putting together an inventory of places i would like to hunt. Blue Mountain was one of the places I looked at last week. It was Shermans headquarters. His tent was up there. There was a drawing of him at his table at Blue Mountain in Harper's Weekly Paper. I am going to hunt it. With cell phones , I believe I will have someone drop me off in the woods and come pick mt up later. With so much meaness in this world , not leaving a car parked somewhere might be best. I drove all the way up to the top last week. looks like there is still plenty of ground to hunt. Because of the geology of the region , it could not be much of a cave. Stay away from rock gardens , that is where the rattlesnakes like to den.
