BOA question..

While I was out searching yesterday, I struck up a chat with a teller at BOA. She said the head teller could order me some halves. I left her my number and she called about 1 PM yesterday. She told me they came in $1000 bags of unwrapped coins. I have only seen rolled & boxed $500 halves around here. My question is this someones dumps or should I get a few bags. Any input or experience with BOA would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Got the steaks marinating & waiting on the Indy 500 & Coca-Cola 600 this evening.

I don't think they are someone's "dumps," although you'll find some marked coins. I get bags instead of boxes, which saves me the time of unrolling. They come in a super heavy-duty plastic bag, and the coin service has merely "bagged" them as opposed to "rolling" them. Same coins you get in boxes without the trouble to skin them.

Results are the same as with rolled. You gotta eat a lot of skunks to find the silver.

I don't have an account with BOA but I've ordered halves from them a couple times and they come in clear bags of whatever amount you request. They also asked if I was interested in Ikes. I said sure amd ordered $100. They also came loose in clear bag. Found a couple silvers in the halves and a 1976 s clad proof in the ikes.

Almost everything is someone's dumps regardless, unless you receive new uncirculated coins loose in a bag. I wouldn't hesitate in buying a bag of loose, could be right off the counting machine.
