Here's an interesting tidbit from a 1933 Ohio news article. Maybe do a little more research on this plane crash to narrow down the location.

if it have been buried in the dirt all this time, TNT is water soluble and unless sealed air tight would have washed into the ground water a long time ago...

The "Bogus Island" referred to in this clip is in Indiana. Neat history, not to hard to find with some research, ....been there.
