Over Spring Break, took my family to Czech Republic and hunted few antique stores while in Prague. My beautiful wife and I found this in one, it's a Bohemian and uranium glass Christmas tree and we think it's a really awesome find, to remind us of our trip!
Apparently, the antique store owner's father traveled around the country in the 80s and 90s, responding to veiled or cryptic posting of estates and items for sale, which at the time under Communism was illegal. He came upon a whole attic full of these and the individual pieces to make more, in the late 90s, just before their "Velvet Revolution" and liberated these to offer in his store.
This piece is about 6" tall and has uranium glass pieces running up the middle 'trunk.' one picture is under normal light, and the other is under black light! Although we're not much for knick-knacks, we think it's nice enough to display all year long!
