Bone? rock? Thing

I found it in the same hole i dug a merc dime. Also its really lightweight.

Just looks like a natural rock to me.

It’s often white or tan. I’ve encountered areas where it runs a foot thick. Very light weight. Frequently mistaken for bone by field crew.

If you enlarge the 3rd picture in, to 500% the one with the item on it's side it looks like a soldier wearing a kepi and cape, holding a rifle maybe a broken piece from an ambrotype on a plate.I am not a photography person so this is from different sources didn't even know of an ambrotype picture until now.

Looks like a fragment of busted ceramic to me? Being you say it's so light weight maybe an old piece of bone.
