These are from inside a wall. I assume it was a crime. The house was built in 1889. There was a window removed and a door put in as some point in the early 1900's. You can see where the window was from the outside of the building. There were a few more things in the wall that lead me to believe that these are from after 1900. the plaster was removed for the wall but the lath was still there. Behind the lath was what looked like dirt so I thought it might be from an old animal nest. I ripped the lath out and started to find things. When I first found a bone, it was small and I thought it was a chicken bone but I jokingly thought it was human, then I found more.
I also found some lead balls that I am positive are buckshot from a shot gun!
I keep thinking that these can't be human but then I think, why where they in the wall? Some are definitely cut. No would would cut up an animal and put their bones 8-10 feet up the wall behind the plaster. And, again, there is no way they would have come from the second floor because it is solid wood between floors.
