Bonus Packs true value

I'm sorry if this seems like bashing as I'm just hoping to make a point, but where is the gain in value when purchasing a detector with a bonus package? Usually those extra bonus items are cheap Chinese products that companies likes to say " an added extra value" worth $250 or whatever. Coil cover is great but the hat and backpack probably cost $3.00 to make. I'd really like to see some valuable products like a pinpointer or water proof headphones being offered in a bonus pack. Just my .02 cents.

When we got the value pack from Kellyco. Garrett included the detector bag, garrett hand held shovel and finds bag. What I really don't understand is your selling a waterproof detector (Atpro) yet you include a pair of non water proof head phones. Seems really silly doesn't it. I did upgrade to the grey ghosts, nice pair of head phones!

I too ordered the Grey Ghosts and an extra 5x8" coil and Garrett Carrot.....
I'm considering purchasing an AT Gold but it too comes with non waterproof headphones.

Those grey ghosts fit both. You can't use two detectors at once can ya?! lol

The Grey Ghosts will work and fit the AT Pro and the AT Gold..And the ATX... Sea Hunter & Infinitum..

I can attest the Grey Ghost Amphibians will work with the AT Gold. I have used this combo for about a year with good results both on land and underwater.

I spoke with Gary Storm at Detector Pro about a year ago, and he stated at that time that the Detector Pro headsets only worked on the AT Pro, but not the AT Gold. If they are now compatible, that is great news! I will probably order a second pair.

Dan, the Garrett accessories are a lot better quality than the Chinese bundle offered elsewhere, but I understand your point and many choose to just buy the detector and headphones separately, or sell the bundle items once they receive them. Sometimes it's like shopping around for anything else when it comes to bonus packages when buying a detector. I have seen some detector companies in the past offer Lesche Diggers and other nice items in a package. I have also seen at times when you can pick and choose between different bonus packages. I guess you just really have to shop around. I agree that some of these packages are unfortunately what the Native Americans found their traded items to be......trinkets, beads, and mirrors.
