BOOM BABY...I Found a Cannon...FINALLY!!!

Got out to a site this morning that I've hunted before but not for the last 3 years. It's an old site that dates back to the 1600s and I've previously found a cannon ball, old trade axe and lots of coppers. We were striking out and we made the decision to move on after one more target. My "one more target" turned out to be my favorite find in a long time...a large chunk of an exploded cannon! It was shallow and nearly blew my ear drums. Spent some time looking for more but will leave that for another day!*

Twice in the past 10 years I thought I had found a cannon but both time it turned out to be something else...this time I know!

I think my ears would be still ringing , what a chunk that is
your iron collection is growing pretty heavy I bet

I've got a lot of iron but this is by far my favorite piece!
