I haven't been out all week and was bored seeing the same trees over and over, so I drove an hour to find someplace new. First park I stopped at had a sign with "we bury our electrical devices. ABSOLUTELY NO DIGGING OR TRENCHING" (just like that, big bold letters). Started looking bad, but I managed to find a park that didn't have signs and poked around. Found about a buck in clad, a perfect 1902 Indian (they usually come out pretty cruddy here), and another Missouri Tax Token from the 1930's, better than the last one, but still hard to make out. Not much, but was glad I found something for the drive.
Added a pic (my wife likes to hog the camera). The indian was under a pine tree not more than a couple inches deep. Guess those pine needles helped preserve it ?
