I also have 2 cents I guess. It's awesome that these guys found this dump and had a successful dig. I agree, they were relaxing, having a good time at an old dump, and with permission to be there, who really cares what they do to themselves? They are big boys, they can take care of themselves. Here is my problem with it. What if the walls do cave in on this dump and somebody dies. The best that can come of it is someone writes an article and other bottle diggers learn from others mistakes. The worst that can come of it is that some relative of a dead digger is going to get it in their head that this is a dangerous activity and start campaigning for governmental controls on bottle digging or even worse treasure hunting altogether (like we don't have enough problems with legalities). The next thing you know we will all have to take classes, be certified, and have to pay fees just to detect or dig. I have to say to spanishsilver(who I believe is the one that posted this vid), very nice work finding the dump, and very nice work getting such a large collection of bottles in one dig but...I would also like to say, please, please, please stay safe on your digs. I really hope you take everyones concerns into consideration. I would love to see more dig videos, and the way you are digging may or may not ever catch up to you, but if it does, we won't be seeing any more.
I just about had a heart attack when they were digging the cobalt blue bottle...I watched little bits of dirt fall from behind the bottle at about 15 feet down waiting for the hole wall to come down. Then when they pulled the bottle out of the wall, I couldn't watch.
