Hey guys, its been a rough winter for this Texas boy but I made it through another one. McEtrac and I got out yesterday for a while to a spot a guy that works for me told me about. He told me that he had found some older coins and bottles so I figured what the heck lets go. We got there and surveyed the area and then started hunting. It was slim pickins. Neither of us found squat but an old milk bottle. A guy showed up and started talking to us. We found out that this was an old dump and that he knew of a bottle dump about a mile from where we were at. We took off and went over there. It would have made Treasurefiend drool. There were litterly thousands of bottles laying on the ground and half buried in the frozen tundra. Most were broke in some way but we pulled out a few that were interesting. Goio called and we decided to meet at the woods for a while.
McEtrac and I got there and started hunting. We hunted about an hour and neither of us was finding much. I went across the road and hit that area. After finding some clad, I got a wheatie (1910) and then finally got my first silver of the year, a 41 merc. Greg ended up not making it and we decided to pack it up and head home.
I was gonna take some pics but my camera finally gave up the ghost. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. SMAN...
