Bounty Hunter Lone Star info

A buddy of mine at work was looking at a Bounty Hunter - Lone Star model at Dick's Sporting Goods. He is considering buying one.
Do any of you use this model?
Would you recommend it?

I have one.I haven't used it for a while,since I upgraded a notch to the Discovery 3300.The Lone Star paid for itself in less than a year though.The wife uses it now.It still works fine.A lot of people don't like BH's,I don't know why.They're cheap and they work.What do you use?

I personally use an older 1999 model Tesoro Cutlass Umax model. Even as a basic machine, it seems to do just fine.

well i got a lonestar and it works great ive found coins and relics with it.so i recommend it

Lonestar was the first I owned. I liked it.........it was simple to use, and great as a detector to learn on. I would recomend it to anyone.
