Bounty hunter pioneer 202

Hi,

I just started this hobby and have read the manual thou roughly. However, I am trying to hunt for coins but am mostly coming up with soda cans. Does anyone else know a good setting for coins on this model?

Turn the machine on, medium sensitivity. Press the far right button, auto notch.

Go find coins. It is a remarkably accurate machine for coinshooting. Depth isn't great, but it does identify nickels, pennies, dimes, and quarters with pretty decent accuracy for a $100.00 machine.

Should disc be at about 3o'clock?

No, disc should be off. Auto notch will notch out everything but the coins and is separate from disc. At least, thats how I ran my pioneer 202 and found lots of coins.
