Bounty Hunter Pioneer VLF Metal Detector - New person!

The bounty hunter vlf is a great starters metal detector and that is about it. it doesn't get very much depth. It eats up batteries, and they break very easily. My brother and i broke 5 probably before i started using the dfx. It is also much less reliable than the dfx. So if you are just starting it is fine, but know that you are going to get a lot more out of other detectors.

Lets see 5 x $20.00 vs DFX $950.00 Hmm seems to me the BH was still the better deal heck you could buy 100 BH VLFs for the price of one DFX

I am happy with my bounty hunter but I would recomend investing in a pinpointer. I dug so many big holes in my yard, lost targets and scrached a nice silver 1/2 dollar before I got my pinpointer. It saves me a lot of time, digging and I figure out when I am tring to dig a pipe up before I get too deep. I still use my Little Wizard II I got for 20 dollars two years later. The on off switch did finally go bad(too much dirt in it) so I picked up a new one from Ebay for 5.00 plus 8.95 shipping.
