I think You can only use nimhs . Wich means nickel metal Hydride. There reasonable online

Yes you can. The manual says to use alkaline because they will maintain a more constant voltage than non alkaline. Also non alkaline are cheaper to produce and generally made to less stringent manufacturing tolerances. The manual for the QD2 was written in 1999. Well before lithium cells were widely available which is why they were left out of the manual presumably.

Also I assume you are talking about disposable lithium cells. If you are thinking of rigging up a rechargeable lithium pack keep in mind that it will require a charger capable of charging lithium cells. (Available at most hobby stores.) Also do not run the voltage too low on a rechargeable lithium pack or you will ruin the cells.

thanks del, i had to pull the triger and hope for the best , seems to be good, now just to see how long they last !

Suggestion by Trackerman.......I purchased this lithium rechargeable combo at Amazon for only $26.00 with free shipping, for my BH 3300.....and I have been using them for over a month, recharged them 3 or 4 times, and they work great!!
Maximal Power Combo 9V.webp

Good Luck on yours! Happy Hunting.
