After dropping off my pick-up at the mechanic, I got a haircut and then attended an opening ceremony for a park that celebrates the glass making history in Port Allegheny. At one time, there were 3 Glass manufacturing plants in town and it was a major source of employment. They made all sorts of glass items from glass building blocks to bottles. Today there is only one plant left and it has cut it's staff due to modernization.
After helping to break down and load up the tent, tables, chairs, etc.,, I did a little shopping, and then walked home.
It was threatening to rain but I still decided I would run a coil over the front lawn. Within the time frame of about 30 minutes, I recovered a double heart leather and metal key fob, a memorial penny from a depth of 6 inches, 2 wheat pennies, (16 & 47), and a 1964 Silver Roosevelt Dime.
I remember thinking, as I was walking to my neighbors yard to join them for pizza, "Boy, that was easy!"

Sure ....Just stroll out in your yard and recover goodies.:icon_thumleft:
(I'm blaming my yard for it's being young and poor. )

L.o.l.. Congrats!

You are so settling into your new haunts mate. Even your own lawn loves and appreciates you!:love3: Sad to see the blue collar folks being ousted by technology. It's the wave of the "future" where we don't NEED you anymore. We have robots and machines that do that job now. Oh well, nice finds from the lawn my friend. Good size yard should keep you busy for some time sifting through the layers of goodies out there.:icon_thumright:

..: NICE ASSORTMENT of FINDS ATW :..
Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence, nice going getting the silver on your own turf.
I was kind of wondering why my own yard was void of targets, found old glass digging up the well head then the answer was clear during excavation of the new addition last fall.
Fill covered 58" of the original top soil. It sucks knowing there was a building in my yard looking at the 1850's maps.

Busy day, big rewards! Congrats! :icon_thumright:

Some cool yard finds...never know what else may be there. Nice !

Brother, it sounds like you have found a very nice Rockwellian place to live. Small town living is outstanding!

Sweet finds in such a short time. Sounds like your site will keep on giving! Good luck in your new hot spot!

You needed your "Easy" button for that one ATW. Congrats on your finds.

It should be that easy all the time- nice finds!

hey easy is pretty darn good! take those easy days with a big smile, they make up some for the not so easy days

LOL I also dug a super deep memorial last weekend, yet a wheat was fairly shallow. Nice job on the 1916 wheat.

Always nice to find a silver. It makes it a great hunt. Congrats.
