brass hollow circle with hoop on top, look again!!!!

i found this at a old rr stop, i believe its brass. its lightweight, hollow and has a hoop on top where something was threaded into.the metal was folded to create the circle, as seen in the pics. the rr stop dates to 1898-1914 when it was demolished.

It's a shower curtain ring...

Those two things inside used to spin & allow the curtain easy movement on the rod...

that is a good idea monty. also at home, i was thinking the smaller circle , would be too small for a older heavy duty shower curtain, no?

For window curtains . We don't have the proper curtain rods for ours . They should be thick round brass rods . I think those little xtra things on yours are wheels , to help them slide better .
