Brass & Iron cabinet & Door Hardware

I am posting these hoping someone may be able to date them.
They were from a Key West house cleanout. I was told they were from the captains cabin of an old sailing vessel.
As they are not my 'Dug Finds' I am interested in selling them & would be pleased to know if they have any value, and maybe where I could advertise them, Other than Ebay. are there any hardware collectors clubs?

They look like Victorian pieces. The Victorian era is generally dated 1837-1901, but most, not all, of the hardware of that nature that I have seen is from the mid - late 1800's.

Looks similar to Eastlake . Late 1800's . Looks like you have a small fortune there .

Some of them appear to be transom window latches.

I agree that you have Eastlake style hardware.

The latches with chains are most likely transom latches. The chains allowed a person to unlatch the window. The large hoop on the end of a chain would allow someone to access the really, really high transom windows. They would have used a wood stick with a hook mounted on it, and hooked the hoop to pull down on the latch.

This type of hardware could have been used on a boat too, I reckon.

I think the long latches featured in the second photo are top mounted door latches to keep a door in place once it was open or closed. This makes sense if you thought they were used on a boat...if you wanted a swinging door to stay open, this latch would fix it in place....
