✅ SOLVED Brass Piece w "WIZARD" on it

Hello All. Found this in some woods along a road leading to an old homestead. It's brass, ~2.5-IN long, the clip end still swivels, and the hinge end still works too. Patent reads "PAT. FEB. 5 1889".

Maybe an early name badge holder? Thanks for any info or comments and Good Luck out there. C9
