Since it doesn't appear to have any holes for attachment, the connection would have to be folded, so I'm going with either a Victorian lady's belt buckle or either part of a Victorian bell pull. Both of which could be folded into cloth material. The belt pictured below is all brass, but I posted the pic for the buckle. If that is a gun shot . . .OUCH . . .and let's think bell pull instead of belt! :laughing7: Breezie

My guess is nail hole and at one time attached to wood.

:icon_scratch: Brizze, if it were attached to cloth, wouldn't it only have Three tabs to fold over so the cloth could slid into one side?.
Oh that's a gunshot for sure!. I think it is some sort of Furniture decoration or maybe a piece from Crown moulding?
