Brass spear point?

Went out to a friends place today, we actually were around an old town site that died out in the 1840's from yellow fever. Well we found an old sunken road so we followed it, going up an down the banks. Well got a good hit on my machine, and this is what came up











Dunno what it is, but it's pretty dang sharp, an made of brass?? I think. Little help here would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yea, pretty sure you're right! Didnt even cross my mind. I guess someone straightened it? Or it was made that way. I found another piece of one few weeks ago, it had a bend in it. Thanks!!
