Brass Tag from St Paul MN

I found this tag in Montana, but its from Minnesota. I was able to research the Shubert Theatre and apparently it's now known as the Fitzgerald and is still in use....although it was moved to a different street location in the 1990s. At the very top of the tag is "N.W. Stamp Works / St. Paul, Minn." I'm not sure what this tag would've been used for. Is the 37 a seat number or something?
