brass tangent cannon sight dug in Shelbyville, TN

My detecting partner dug a super rare brass tangent cannon sight at a heavily hunted1863 winter camp in Shelbyville, Tennessee. The cannon sight was masked by a three ringer minie at seven inches. He rescanned the hole and recovered the tangent cannon sight at fifteen inches deep. Each one of the steps has a number marking the cannon’s range. He was using a Deus II.
