Hey guys, does anyone have any idea what this trigger guard came off of?

I'm thinking more like a window latch
 
not a trigger guard. Like Indian Steve said, it could be a window latch...

I believe they called them casement windows and it does look like the latch for such...
 
I had to think long and hard, but I do think a casement window latch is correct, but it is a very old one.
 
Window latch for sure. Still an interesting recovery. :occasion14:
 
I'm sure that's a window latch I've seen many like that working on old homes
