Brazos River, Texas - Dermal Scute?

I dug this heavy little piece and several other nice bones out of a dark orange clay bank (modeling clay). I think that is why this piece and the other bones is well preserved?



This piece is 1.75 and .25 thick, the back is concave. It weighs 16g.



Is this a Chunk-o-saurus or maybe a Dermal armor with skin?



Or... should I just ask, does anyone know exactly what this is?

" MAY " be a Glyptodon Scute [ Giant Armadillo ] , but from the side, it looks more like a rock.

I found another possible scute or? and it appears to have its skin flap...

Hard to tell by pictures. Many times when you find one, there will be others around . Look through these pictures .Some are very nice & easily identified, while others are much harder. They vary some according to what part of its shell it comes from , but notice how most have distinct corners & sides.
