I found this broken base several years ago and no one seems to be able to identify it when it was broken and missing the base and tip.
After reading a few bone restoration pages, I decided to do a temporary restoration to help preserve the fossil and to hopefully and help identify it.
I followed the short lines on the bone to their end to restore the tip and base. I think, it looks very close to what it would have originally looked like. The tip (the total bone length) could vary only a little, if it can be identified.
Does anyone know what type of bone this is?

Thanks for looking......
