Found this a few feet from the NY button I dug out yesterday. Not in great shape but I'm excited to finally find one. Recovered a small piece of lead that may be part of the back. Pulled LC #9, crusty, got it in hot bath now to see if I can see the date - 18xx.

But almost NO corrosion! Great detail. I'd sure like to find that boy . . .

Congrats on the plate. My wife found one on her very first relic hunt. Me? not so much, after 40+ years of trying. Oh well maybe someday. Ya done good.

That is a really cool find. Excellent job saving that piece of history. Congratulations! Happy hunting

A plate in any condition is worth celebrating- even in that condition it will display well and you will have a conversation piece for years to come. :)
