Didn't have much time to hunt in the last couple of weeks. Managed to get out and explore 2 different spot for a few hours each.
The first one had a nice surprise for me as I managed to get my very first pre 1812 British officers button. The 32nd regiment didn't fight in War of 1812 as they left Canada just before the outbreak and were later busy fighting Napoleon Bonaparte in Europe (they were one of the regiments defeating his forces at Waterloo). The condition of the button isn't the best but being my first officers I'm pretty happy with it.

Than, I got a little bonus. The enlisted men's version of the same button. Again, not in the best condition but still a very cool find.

Managed to find a few coppers (George III halfpenny and an early Matron) and ''not so sure what is it'' relics.

On an other hunt went to a very early site where I previously found some Fur Trade relics. That spot previously produced some deep Trade Axes so I tried not to ignore deep iron targets. Spent the whole day pulling square nails and other deep iron. Towards the end got a deep breaking signal on my Deus and deep it was....took me an hour to pull it out. I was very careful as I knew pretty soon it was an old axe but had no idea how wide the blade was. That thing is huge! Never seen a similar axe in the past and it sure doesn't look like the Trade Axes I got from this site. Have no doubts it's very old. Really happy with it, looks great on display.
