I found these two buttons on my last trip to England. Both found in fields around the East Colchester area. I suspect they're a military type, but, I'd like to confirm that and maybe get some more details about them, such as years they were issued and who would have used them. No backmarks on either one that I can see. The one with the 16 on it is damage on the back where the shank used to be. The one with the 3 cannons? under the crown has something written under the cannons, but, I can't make it out for sure. It looks a little like "UBIQUI", but, that's just a guess. 16 is about 18mm in diameter......3 cannons is 17mm. I've got many more so stand by for more questions!
