A man who has given me permission to detect on some of his other properties called me about finding whatever was puncturing his riding mower tires. He said each time it costs him about $54 for a new tire. While it only took me about 15 minutes to find the culprit, I went ahead and spent about 2 hours in 90+ degrees digging nails and pieces of woven fence wire within a couple inches of the surface.

Nice going :) Proud of you and you will be surprised how the word of your kindness gets around and will open many more doors for you :)

Great job with helping the man out!

Nice going!

All, thanks for the kudos. This evening I meet with him, his son and their wives, to show them artifacts I found on one of their properties that will be donated to the local historical society later this year in 4 or 5 educational display cases. Will ask if they have other old homesteads I haven't detected. Its easier to approach someone who already knows you than knocking cold turkey on someone else's door.

what a coincidence! I located a watermain yesterday on a permission, I took measurements for the owner so he could locate it when it's needed

Nice!!! Congrats!!! Good Job!!!

Good job !

I've been asked a bunch of times to find property stakes, etc. while hunting a site.
I always do it for free - it's some good PR for the hobby.

As the Lynyrd Skynyrd song goes "You got that right"!!

Yes sir, just setting the example for my grandkids, when I tell them do the right thing even when I'm not looking.
My son had the grandkids over the other night. When I said "do the right thing even when I'm not looking", he added "but you can do the wrong thing when he is looking". Ugh, kids you can dress them up but can't take them anywhere!
