Found this at a 1840's farm house, it has an disk attachment on back,
it was 10" down appears to be copper

Thank you, I think something along those lines, or lapel pin

definitely looks like some kind of Pin Back Clutch Clasp but the tube is hollow adjoined to back piece as i can see it as it came apart
