Brooch, gold painted lead Decoration and another object. My first "find" post.

Found this stuff today at an old house in Mount Holly NJ. Obviously the brooch is a brooch... but what are the other 2 things? Thanks for looking!

Brooch is a little over an inch long.

Lead decor is about 5" long.

The last "thing" is 1 and ¼" long.

Can we have some measurements or size comparisons to other known objects (a quarter?) please? They look quality, at least the last one.

Thanks,
Noodle

Modified first post to include measurements.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the bottom item is a clasp on a purse. Really a decoration that you press on that snaps the purse shut.

The second item could have been a decorative item on a drawer, or a drawer pull backing. Just a guess, though.

congrats!

Good going on the brooch, Dale! I think the other object is part of a razor. You also mentioned to me some Lincoln pennies. What years were those? Were they memorial cents or Wheaties?

I have never seen a razor w/ toroise shell. Doesn't mean there isn't one. I would guess something to do with hair, barette(sic) maybe. Hot straight pin applied to the shell smells like burning hair if its real, otherwise smells like plastic. Nice digs, Bongo

second one looks like part of a railing from an old metal porch ...

The metal is so flimsy, and only one side is gilded.... I agree with Noodle, it looks like it could have adorned some old furniture.

Brooch is a little over an inch long.

Lead decor is about 5" long.

The last "thing" is 1 and ¼" long.

Lead decor is about 5" long. = Pewter dishware handle?

The last "thing" is 1 and ¼" long. = possible pin or brooch.

Check a bookstore - collectables/costume jewelry or jewelry
