First the dredges then before you know it all prospecting will be banned!!!

I had Hefty fax a message that read just that to the Governor. Even though I have not progressed in my prospecting to dredging I refuse to support a state that discriminates against my hobby. This year my tourism dollars will be spent in Oregon. I will not be crossing the border into the republic of kalifornia until the moratorium is lifted.

War on Dredging Ban!

Governor Brown,

In addition to not spending my vacation dollars in your state and since you have seen fit to deprive thousands of Californians of their livelyhood and countless others of enjoyment of their hobby. I will also be supporting the nationwide boycott of Californian goods and services as well as agricultural produce. Including the boycotting of any and all companies and corporations based in your state, for as long as gold dredging is banned there.

An e-mail campaign will also be initiated informing said businesses and corporations of the reason for the nationwide boycott supported by prospectors as well as concerned citizens from all over the United States of America standing in solidarity with our Californian counterparts.

Buddy, you are spot on. One other in the pocket book fact. I had full intentions of buying a claim or two and possibly three on the rivers in Northern California. That will not happen now. Those claims are not going to be worth the cost of the paper they are printed or recorded on. All the stores that sell prospecting and mining supplies will be put out of business also, which will create a further loss of income for the state.
OH, I forgot, the state of California doesn't need the income. How silly can socialism be?

march on Sac, already thought of and done. not very many people showed up! start flooding CDFW/BLM/govenor with phone calls/emails/faxs, already thought of and not very many people helped or showed up! lets get in there and fight? already thought of and done but not by enough of us to do much good! so, whats next? boycot california/ cant afford to go and spend the money cause ole whats his name( o ) is cutting off S.S. medicare and giveing it to either the UN or the illegal mexicans or padding the pockets of our socalled "representatives" that voted to not make it manditory for them to enroll in the unhealthy care they shoved down our throats. instead, they get a very nice raise and increased health care for life! and "we the people" keep voteing them into office?? most of us Americans have our heads up or azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz very deeply!

Nobody to line up and buy a claim they can't dredge. Hang on to it as a historical site and charge a nominal fee for tours.

The way I see it they can't stop you from mining your Federal mining claim. If a person can afford to take the battle to them when ticketed and drag them kicking and screaming all the way to the 9Th supreme court I believe they would loose. The trick is going after the individual person or persons who wrote the ticket. Also a person must know the law and there rights and a great Attorney is a must.
They have gotten away with this crap for so long that they honestly believe that they have power but in reality they have less than you as a Federal mining claim owner.

yep,we got the federal law/Constitutional laws behind us, BUT fighting this in court would be EXTREAMLY EXPENSIVE! plus your lawyer would have tobe up on his game with the mining laws and enviromental laws, and most arent! plus theyll probly cite a person for some stupid "other law" so they could side step getting tangeled in another court case. besides most of the California judges are in someones pocket!and its usually some wacoenviromental group.but at todays gold prices, it may be worth it just to dredge untill getting caught and then pay the pzzy fine.
