It's been a rough week, so I decided to get out for a while to clear my head. I went to a site that we've pounded to death in the last few years, but we almost always manage to find at least one three-ringer there. In fact, we call it "One Minie Ball Hill". Today was no exception, my first non-trash find was a three-ringer at about 10". It was a junk signal on my AT Max. I only dug it because I could tell it was really deep. Fast forward about 3 hours, all I had managed to find was a bunch of nails and some other typical camp type junk. I'm on my way out and go through a spot we've been over a thousand times. This time I get a small but deep signal that I decide to dig. It turned out to be a Civil War 12th Corps badge!! It appears to have been made out of a smashed and carved bullet! Unfortunately the ground was not very nice to it and any inscriptions that were once on it are now illegible. Regardless, it's still an amazing find and I'm super excited to have found it! Thanks for looking everyone, and HH!
