I never thought I’d see the day but today I dug what is for California detectorists a find of a lifetime. An 1850s 49er tongue and wreath buckle. First good signal at a place I swing pretty regularly but haven’t gotten over anything good at in some time. I knew it had to be there somewhere, now I just need to find the other half! Beautiful buckle! A bucket lister any day for sure!

super find....and if I were to choose which half I want to find, it would be the tongue as well.
