I went to a bank today to cash in my halves. The bag in the machine filled up pretty fast so I decided to buy it back. I couldn’t see any silver thru the bag but hadn’t been to this branch for a while. I get home and open it up and the first thing I see is a Franklin and a 1967. I keep pulling silver every couple handfuls and then BAM! 1883 Christopher Columbus Expedition half. Also got a bicentennial silver proof. In total 9-90%ers, and 22-40%ers .

Cool! I found a DR silver dime once. Looks like yours is worth about 50 cents in exchange value, but may be worth a little more in numismatic value.

Nice find! I haven't found a Columbus half but did find my first classic commem 3 weeks ago - a 1952 Carver/Washington, along with some other silver in a Brinks box.
