Buckle and rosette

Anybody know what kind of buckle this is, I found it and the rosette in a field where a few civil war artifacts have been found. I'm hunting a farm that was a 1830s plantation, the homesite is unhuntable right now due to weeds and underbrush. But the fields have just been cut. Thanks for any help. JJ358

The brass horse bridle buckle looks 20th C, maybe early.

I think the horse furniture is late 19th at best. (Rosette, as you call them)
