Great haul, and that's one odd looking countermark, looking even stranger by the pic because it looks raised.

Its pretty unusual & it looks like it might have been guilt in the recess.:icon_scratch:

Maybe the entire coin was plated at one time, just survived within the stamp.

Man that's a great assortment of buckles from just one site Cru. Any theories as to why so many at that spot? Great job on the hammereds too. It's funny that you've only dug one oval shield out of the hundreds of hammereds you've recovered, and somehow I have 2 out of only 20-25 total. Very strange!

Wow that is an old site!! Congrats on the great finds!

This is just plain insane ridiculous, this man will stop at nothing to find something, Crusader you are on a roll, I like all the buckles and the coins ,you got a little bit of everything, waiting to see what is next, vanzutphen, No disrespect to you for sure, cool finds.

Amazing day out !!! Great on the hammereds and all those buckles - incredible !

Looked like it was all over! And then ... :occasion14: great day!

Another great outing for you and your Dad Cru, congratulations on the silvers! :occasion14:

Too bad that crotal bell wasn't complete, looks like it would've been a beauty.

Very productive day out for ya! Liking the Tudor clothing fastener and the counter stamped. You should pulled a Roman jobbie and you would have covered the history periods, well done.

The only working theory we have, as its not a site, is an ancient trackway, still in use in the Georgian period.

Yeap, that bell would have been a good example.
