Thanks Brian in ma, and wildheart! I know this sounds dumb and most of you would never think of doing this, but all i used was a pedestal grinder with a fine wire wheel. You must try not push to hard on the piece you are cleaning as it will get to hot and discolor it. Take your time. And when you are happy with the results give a coat clear spray finish and that's it.

Remember, I only did this to this buckle because it is not worth anything to me monetarily but historically to me is priceless :thumbsup:
