FOUND THIS BUCKLE WITH 2 CENTER TYNES THAT CURVE TO THE CENTER AND STRAIGHT DOWN , GOT ANY IDEAS

Wow. Cool find Hardy.
It looks like it might be some sort of 'cross' buckle, where two straps cross at right angles.
Horse harness hardware is my best assumption, so far

As you say, probably heavy horse pulling strap buckle (WAG)

ah, i think you may be correct on a heavy horse buckle, this buckle was found at a site of a ferry crossing of the 1840's & I know

that they used eather ox or horses to pull the ferry across the river . yet I was wondering if it could be part of a bundling strap

for cargo as it is area know for the fur trade.
