ok here goes,i have had this encrusted looking disk in my bs bucket for years,so now i have some time on my hands...so i do the electrolosis on it and this is what came out....anybody any info,it looks to have USN on it with a vertical anchor

the interlocking script makes me think its continental navy or up to War of 1812.

i was in mnav wy and army and disabled from army and cant metal detect like i usedto could. Do you have any reales or any other buckles you would sell or civil war stuff period

I found this piece of brass that has a hollow back. It appears you found the lead that would fit this brass plate. It is definitely an early US Navy but I'm not sure what vintage.
