I couldn't see the pictures with my good eye so I edited them a little. I still don't know what it is but I can see it better! Have you cleaned it anymore?

that's about as clean as i could get it. it looks like there's dirt stuck in what would be the opening of the buckle, but it's metal, not dirt.
