Dug this out today. Anyone able to provide some details about this?

I'm pretty sure it's a buckle. But to what?

It is iron, no discernible markings.

Almost looks like something from off an old wood stove or something like that to me. I don't think its a buckle.

Folks on "ID Me" group on FaceBook led me to find this item in the 1902 Sears catalog. It is a piece of Draft Mule Harness.
