Hello All,

I thought you might enjoy these photos from the past month. December was one HECK of a month for the housesite hunting crew: Indian Heads, Wheats, V Nickels, Large Cents, Seated Coins, Relics, Flat Buttons, Silver, and a little Gold. Enjoy.

What a great variety of finds!!! Will everything (including coins) stay in the display boxes as-is, or was that for posting only?
I like the pottery shards in with your displays. I never thought of that. Great idea.
Is that a stone house? Whatever it is, it is so cool.
What's the age of the brick house you guys are hunting at?

The finds will probably all stay in the display case. They are grouped by the sites they came from. (I can't resist picking up shards of the blue pottery in the fields, and I think it gives the displays a little color.)

The stone building is a spring house in the woods. It dates to the 1700's. The little windows were big enough to stick a rifle through for defense.

The brick house is one of the few spots we hunted where there was a house still standing. All the rest were housesites. Someone had hunted it before, but we found some old coins there. We're making a display case for the land owner of some of our finds from that spot.

No problem on the toe taps in the photos. I love finding 'em--and both these came from the last four weeks.


Man, that was a LOT of huntin'!
