"Buggy" suspender buckle, thimble and relics

I managed a quick 3 hour hunt yesterday at one of my regular sites. I seem to get more hits each time ,skill or luck? Anyway, I got some of the usual iron rings you'd see at a farm then it got interesting. I ran along this stone wall and hit all sorts of things. I will tell you I've never dug so many harmonica reeds in one spot and so many almost intact. These people really liked there music! My next hit was a question mark. I'm not sure what it is but I'm leaning towards a pewter spoon handle that got melted. It has a ridge in the middle and I know it's not lead. My next 2 hits were suspender clasps. One plain ,the other has a ladybug or beatle on it, weird. The last hit I had to work for . A good solid tone,mixed between and underneath some roots. It took a half hour to get this thimble I'm not sure what it made up but I'm thinking brass. There was a root system growing in it so the inside top wasn't dirty,brass colored. Hopefully the weather holds out for a while for digging. Thanks for looking!

Looks like you ran across a troop of musicians there. Must have been having a good time until they ALL lost their harmonicas? I don't dig many thimbles and think they are very cool old relics especially when you have to "earn" them. I do love my buckles and suspender clips items. Yours is one of the coolest designs I have ever seen. I would consider that a TOP SHELF find in my "museum" of historic old relics. Nice post and pictures my friend.

and the thing is,the reeds were spread out all over a 2 acre area. But you have to dig them or you might miss a button,like a shotgun shell. I really like the suspender clip design. Hopefully he lost both of them
