Finally came upon a Cellar that was never hunted i think..The site was tough to hunt as it had been bulldozed years ago..Trees
on the ground everywhere and briar..Also had some EMI problems there must have been underground wires somewhere in the area.
This site was never on any maps and i found it by following a stone wall into the woods walking my dog the other day..
First target was
3/4 of Colonial buckle.
Nice decor 2 piece button.
Some kind of eyeglass frame looking thing?
A few Colonial buttons
Monster bell this bell is thick cast man wow!
Believe it or not one of my favorite finds is this hand forged nail it's unique and in pristine condition!
And a few other relics not 1 coin except a strange small Chinese 10 cent piece probably from the 19th century..
It was great to get out it started snowing bad as soon as i left!!Perfect timing..

THE NAILS HAVE THE ROUND EDGE WERE USED AT TIMES FOR WOODEN SHINGLES AND CLAPBOARDS FOR THEY KEPT THE WOOD FROM SPLITTING ... . NICE FINDS..

Thanks for the comments everyone,Sutphin i believe it was designed to avoid splitting probably the ends of Timber as it is way to big for shingles or clapboard..

I love finding old cabin sites in the woods most just by wondering/looking for stone.
Cool old buttons..and the pottery piece is something i all way bring home,old keyhole is interesting.
I have a bell like that,my old hunting partner Crazy Glued in a flat button and tied a sinker to the shank, so it Dings again sweet sound

Gary it looks like the same bell..Actually the cross bar inside is still there i am going to try that

Got a bunch of snow today....but yes I'm going to a spot tomorrow on the ocean. May be a complete waste bro. Nothing be ventured nothing gained lol
