Thank you for posting that pic. Very interesting. My bullet looks most like the .44 watervliet. But i'm not sure it's a match.

I found this in a Civil War camp. It's 168 grains, .60" tall & .44 or 45 diamater. It has one deep ring and one faded.

Nice find & a hard call on that one .

Maybe better shots of the side 's would help , look's similar to a few just nothing 'Right on'.

I've about come to the conclusion that it's a early 1900's 45 cal.
