1825ish (possibly earlier) to 1840ish Militia belt plate, pre-civil war.Hello. I was hoping someone can ID or provide info about this buckle which I believe is from the civil war. There doesnt seem to be anything that matches when I search it online. I found it metal detecting in New York in a spot where I have previously found a number of civil war buttons. The pic of the button posted in this thread was found next to the buckle. Thanks!
