Got out for a while this morning and stumbled on to these. The Fork is kind of Wild looking, says Clapp and Bros. on the back. The forceps looking thing is what I think is an instrument to remove projectiles from the body, just guessing. The little button with Lady Liberty got my heart started when I seen her head and the stars, nothing on the steel back. The other button is the first of it's kind, for me, with the Drum and Swords, again, nothing on the steel back. You just never know what's going to turn up. Gotta love it !

Neat digs! Thanks for sharing!

no clue but very cool

some good finds

Very nice array of finds. If that fork was made like that with the tines in that orientation I wonder what it was used for?

I'm pretty sure what you have is an 18th century hand forged curling iron (for wigs). Yours is just a bit mangled. It's iron right? Hard to tell from your pic. Do a search & you'll see some different varieties.

Yeah, it's iron. Here is hopefully a little better look.

That's a serious fork. Nice finds.

It's definitely a curling iron IMHO. Here's another example with 3 like yours. Really neat find!
